Miata Wheel Alignment

 

Toe (toe-in):

 

Front: 1/32” toe in each side for a total of 1/16” toe in. (Total range: 0-1/16 toe in)

 Setup –1/32” if possible or –1/16 to 0. (0 to 1/16 toe out)    

[Factory: 0.12 plus or minus 0.16]

Rear: 1/32” toe in each side for a total of 1/16” toe in. (Total range: 1/16-1/8 toe in)

 Setup +1/16 to +1/8 (toe in)

[Factory: 0.12 plus or minus 0.16]

 

Camber (negative camber):

 

Front: -1° each side. (Total range: -1.0° to –1.5° but equal both sides and .5 less than rear)
Get max negative in front, preferably around -2°

[Factory: -0°32’ plus or minus 1°]

 

Rear: -1.5° each side. (Total range: -1.5° to –2.0° but equal both sides and .5 more than front)
 Get 2.5°

[Factory: -1°14’ plus or minus 1°]

 

 

Caster (positive as much as possible):

 

Front: As much as possible within reason and equal both sides.  (range: 5°-7°).

 Range indicated is ok

[Factory: +6°17’ plus or minus 1°]

 

Wheels

Stock: 16X6 40mm offset

 

Must be ballasted with my weight in the seat or me in the seat when alignment is made.
