miata fender flares
with these miata fender flares and miata fender flares were made for the second generation cars
including 1999-2005. The molds were made by copying the imported
Japanese Tuckin '99 imported from Japan after finding that they were
not making them any longer. It took over three months to get them and
cost $650 when I finally did get them. After many requests to either
make molds what I had or to sell them or where people could get
them, I persuaded my new car owner Gary Dranow of Modern Solo Racing to make a
set of molds in Salt Lake City in order to provide them to those that have
requested sets.
If you have any questions please call 831 466 3440 and talk with me,
Charles Cox. They will be shipped from Utah so tax will not apply in
other states. We can ship any way you wish, depending on how quickly you
need them and we have options we will be putting together for being able to
fasten them to the car including large head rivet pack, sheet metal screws,
welts and edge molding. Each will be an at extra cost.
We can make them thicker...essentially as thick as the customer wants but
are special order. Being the factory takes one day per set, we need a
bit of advance notice to make them but generally they're available within a
week, even on special order.
miata fender flares
I stopped by last Monday and the fiberglass shop had the first set off the
molds which were made in black gel coat and in 2 oz. chopped strand matt.
They seemed too thin for most uses so we will put them on the DP car and the
next sets will be made using 3 oz. CSM so they are thicker.

The project took a number of years to come to this so we are finally able
to produce not only but other products unique and specific to
this class of car. They allow at least 10.5" wide wheel and tire
combination if having an offset of around plus 9mm due to clearance issues
both inside (front sway bar) and outside at the flare. They are made for
actual use not merely cosmetic and will require cutting the front
and rear in order to allow the clearance needed. Cutting
instructions will follow when I install a set on the new car we will be
building during the off season.
