Pan was cut in two...sub frame was damaged as well (see photos). Block was cut both sides, piston was demolished, intake valves were bent but head seems otherwise ok as does the crankshaft. Looks like strictly a rod failure (not strong enough). Rod section from small to big end was completely missing but both wrist pin and big end spun freely on their respective journals.
Car never ran right after the first dyno session. Smoked and used oil although we were able to get the settings finally correct and have a good dyno tuning session making reasonable power and torque.
